The Performer

the performer

Hey there, Momma!

It sounds like your son might be a PERFORMER.

The Performer is likely the clown of your family. Always wanting to be the center of attention, he loves putting on a show or making people laugh. He has lots of friends and lots of energy for socializing. He’s laid back when it comes to rules.  (Rules? What rules?”) He’s pretty sure the rules don’t apply to him.

Although fun-loving and playful, he often creates a distraction at the least inopportune moments.  He sometimes acts impulsively, with little thought to the consequences of his actions. He’s the kid who’s running around the house naked, while everyone else is trying to get ready for bed.

The Performer’s Strength

The performer is great at making friends and loves to make people smile.

The Performer’s Weakness

He needs to learn that there are times when it’s okay to be goofy, but there are times when he needs to be serious as well. He needs to be okay with not being the center of attention.

How to Connect with the Performer

Laugh together!  Be silly with him. Don’t always scold him for his goofiness. Let him know how much you appreciate his smile and his laughter. Don’t be afraid to be goofy yourself!
