REDEEMING THE CHAOS

Lancaster Portrait Photographer | Jen & Takis Engagement Session

As a Lancaster portrait photographer, I have had the opportunity to capture many types of photography sessions.  From families, to engagements, to birthday parties, to newborns and babies.   (I now specialize primarily in photographing newborns and babies up to one year).  A few months ago, a very dear friend of mine asked if I would be willing to be her wedding photographer.  Being a Lancaster portrait photographer, I have had many inquiries in the past, wondering if I shoot weddings, to which my answer has always been “No”.  Well, this time, the opportunity was just too good to pass up!

Jen and I have been friends since we were babies.  Maybe even before that!  Our parents have been best friends since before either of us were born.  We’ve grown up together, played together, gone on vacations together, and even lived together for a few years after college!  Jen is a life-long friend and I am honored and excited to be her wedding photographer.    Disclaimer:  If anyone else asks… this will be my first and last wedding! 😉

Jen & Takis have an amazing story of how God brought them together!  Many people have been praying for Jen to meet the perfect man for her… and God has answered our prayers by leaps and bounds!   Jen was living in Europe when she was introduced to Takis (a native to Greece) and they began communicating via email and telephone.  One thing led to another and they eventually met in person in Philadelphia this past January.  Clearly, God was at work in this relationship, and not more than a month later, Takis asked Jen to marry him and she said YES!  They will be saying “I do” in a few short weeks and then moving back to Greece!

I can’t wait to share with you pictures from their big day later this summer.  But in the meantime, you can enjoy a few shots from their engagement session last week!  I met Takis for the first time only one day before this photo session.  It was so much fun to see Takis and Jen together, and it was obvious how perfect they are for each other!   (Just see for yourself!)  🙂
