I am so excited to give you a small glimpse behind the scenes at one of my newborn sessions!   This video was put together by the very talented Ali Kamanda of Biko Studios.  Baby Brynn belongs to my dear friend Stephanie of Exquisitely Announce (designer wedding invitations).

My newborn sessions take place in my cozy home studio when babies are about one week old.  I love using neutral colors in my sessions, coupled with a few subtle pops of color.   Monochrome set-ups are my favorite.   It is so stunning when wraps, headbands, layers and furs are all similar shades of the same color.  In this video, you’ll see me posing the baby on a creamy white wool flokati rug, wrapped up snuggly in a white stretch wrap.  The style of wrapping I used is one of my favorites – with little piggy toes and tiny fingers sticking out.

Newborn photography sessions typically take about 3 hours.  My studio is very warm to keep baby drowsy and comfy.  There is a lot of shushing and bouncing and soothing that takes place to keep baby content and sleeping.  Being a Lancaster PA newborn photographer requires a lot of patience and a lot of practice.  I have had extensive training & experience in how to safely and beautifully pose and handle newborn babies.  When hiring a professional newborn photographer for your precious new bundle, it’s important to make sure you hire someone with experience and expertise in newborn photography.
