One of my goals for the new year is to be more consistent with blogging! I realized I am super far behind with my session posts. This is a sweet little boy from way back in September! I had the privilege of doing a maternity session with his mom and dad, and then a few months later I got to meet their precious little one! Mom & Dad if you’re reading this – it’s hard to believe Harrison is almost 5 months old already! It’s amazing how quickly they grow!
I am currently booking newborn and milestone sessions for February, March and April. (a few spots are open in January). Please contact me if you are expecting a baby soon! I would love to capture these memories for you as well. LVR Portraits specializes in custom fine-art photography for newborns and babies up to one year. Please contact me at photos@LVRportraits.com to discuss your session!
Enjoy the images of baby Harrison!
What a sweet little yawn! If possible, I try to get a shot of babies yawning during my sessions… it’s just so precious!
Snuggling with his teddy bear. I love this one! I made the cap & wrap using an up-cycled sweater! It’s so important to have moms and dads in a few shots with baby! It’s special for kids to be able to look back at photos and see themselves as teeny-tiny infants in mom and dad’s arms. Having these images creates an atmosphere of love and belonging in your home that communicates to your children how precious they are to you! Sometimes moms are hesitant to be in photos so soon after giving birth. Don’t worry! I will make sure you look just beautiful, like this momma here! And one day your babies will thank you for being in the photos with them. Did you know that parents and siblings are INCLUDED with all of my newborn packages? No extra charge! Such a proud papa! My newborn sessions are very classic and timeless. I use a lot of neutral hues with subtle pops of color. Babies are so perfect, just the way they are! They really don’t need lots of props or accessories to show them off! This pose is called the “potato sack”. It’s one I do at almost all of my newborn sessions. So cute! This wrapping style is one of my new favorites! I love being able see their tiny fingers and toes sticking out.I loved this idea! Mom & Dad brought along antique wooden blocks with baby’s initials on them for me to photograph! They’ll be able to use this shot in a wall collage or baby book. I liked the idea so much I decided to incorporate it into my regular work-flow for my newborn sessions. If you book a session with me, one of your images will be a set of letter-block initials! (colors will vary)
