Alec’s one year cake smash was a lot of fun!   I always start out my one-year sessions with some “non-cake” images… just in case baby isn’t interested in cake.  You would be surprised how many one-year-olds have no desire to smash their cake!   It often takes quite a bit of coaxing from myself and mom, but in the end we almost always get some good “smash” shots… even if we have to resort to putting baby in the highchair!

Alec’s one year cake smash was pretty typical as far as cake smash sessions go…  he wasn’t sure he wanted to have anything to do with his cake at first, but after mom gave him a taste on her finger, he realized this was pretty good stuff!   Alec came to see me for his newborn portrait session as well as his 6 month milestone photos.  I always love when my little clients come back to visit me!
