Miss Cayleigh was quite a little mover and shaker for her one year photoshoot. She gave her mom and I both a good workout! I’m so glad we were able to get a few little smiles near the end… even if we did have to buckle her into a high chair! But sometimes those serious faces can be so beautiful too, can’t they?
Whenever babies come in for a one year photo shoot, you just never know how it’s going to go! One year olds are at the age where they can be so much fun, and they’re just starting to be independent. They want to explore and touch everything. “You mean you want me to just sit here in this basket while you take my picture? I don’t think so!” But they’re also at an age where they are very aware of who takes care of them… and they often do not want to be around strangers. I do have a lot of tricks I am able to use for when babies come in for a one year photoshoot. (Including, but not limited to… silly faces, silly noises, banging myself on the head, squeaky toys, sparkly toys, noisy toys, tickles, singing songs, etc.) We almost always get at least a few little smiles and giggles!
